Our Founder at a Glance...Wm. Michael O’Steen, Founder and President of Cedarwood Associates, Inc., has over 20 years of experience in technical writing, course development, and instructional design.
Mr. O'Steen has taught various courses as an
Adjunct Faculty member at Northeastern University, New Hampshire College, Rivier College
and Northern Essex Community College. He has been a guest speaker for WPI Collaborative
for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Amoskeag Business Incubator, Greater Nashua
Software Entrepreneurs Group (GNSEG), Society for Technical Communication (STC),
Small Business Administration (SBA), and other organizations. He has published
numerous articles in Mass High Tech, WPI Venture Forum and Women Entrepreneurs in Science
and Technology (WEST). And has authored more than 250 technical titles for the high-tech
industry over his career. He created the Structured Knowledge DevelopmentTM
system, a proven method he uses while consulting his client’s that increases the
level of quality and decreases delivery time.
During his years at Schneider Electric, Inc. Industrial Automation, an international organization with operations in 130 countries that designed hardware and software products aimed at the automotive, chemical, oil & gas, and process industries, he held various positions within the Engineering, Marketing and Customer Service departments. He was instrumental in raising the level of quality while meeting critical delivery dates on many international product assignments including software, hardware and firmware that were jointly developed in the United States, Germany and France. Michael O’Steen holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Clemson University and a Masters in Business Administration from Rivier College.
